Dear Ed,
Bea and I shared the same hair appointments for 20 some years. My appointment was 10:00 and hers was 10:30 on Fridays with Sally. I was very sad when I went for my appointment on Friday 2-5th and Sally told me Bea had passed away. I will miss my hair appointment friend and her wonderful letters at Christmas time. She had such a will for life. She will be deeply missed. Sandy Wakefield

Dearest Bea,
It's still snowing out and just in case we can't make it to see you off tomorrow, I'm going to run outside and make an angel in the snow ~ so when you look down from the heavens, you'll know we're there with you in spirit. You were always such a good friend to my mom and, although I only met you a few times you touched my heart too. You "dressed" us all. You loved to shop ~ but, more than that, you loved to give ~ just to put a smile on someones face. We were always excited when mom would announce "Bea's Bag!" ~ and I think you always had something in there especially for me. I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to your family as I know what a kind loving person you are and that you will truly be missed by everyone, especially me and my mom.
With Love,
Lorna Briggs

Ed,
I can't think of an acquaintance I would rather know is with the Angels than Bea.
We have a new ally.
And, her final years are an inspiration to us all.
Expressing "sympathy" in her case I believe, is inappropriate because she led such a full and influential life; all I can think of is "Thank God for such a gift to mankind!"
Carol and I will make a donation in her memory.

Every summer when I walk into our back yard, I'll think of Bea and her green thumb legacy. A number of years ago, after a gardening discussion in the driveway, she brought over three raspberry plants, which made themselves completely at home in the back corner of our yard. The berries continue to be an annual treat, and every year I bless Bea for her thoughtfulness in sharing those little green shoots. Ed, please accept our deepest sympathy, and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Ed:
I was very sorry to hear from Anne today, regarding Bea. Based on our conversation in late December I thought that Bea was doing ok. Main thing now Ed, is to be strong and do the things that Bea would want you to do.
My Best to you

Ed, we are so sorry to learn of Bea's passing. Since we haven't had recent contact, we were unaware of her condition, but I imagine that she might have been experiencing more health problems. We won't be able to come to the funeral due to other commitments, but we will call you later. Meanwhile you have our deepest sympathies. Dick and Naomi
