GERALDINE THERESA TARDIFF ~~
LOVING WIFE, MOTHER and GRANDMOTHER
Mrs. Tardiff, age 90, died peacefully, on Thursday, February 4, 2010 surrounded by her family, at Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center, in Westland, Michigan. She was born Geraldine Theresa Black on October 13, 1919, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Joseph and Sarah (Taylor) Black. She had been a resident of Four Chaplains Center for the past 2 years, and was a former resident of Wyandotte, Michigan for 20 years.
Education: Geraldine was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School (Arkansas)
Occupation: Mrs. Tardiff had been a partner with her husband, the late Roland, in his small business for 30 years. During WW II she was employed at the Pine Bluff Military Arsenal.
She was devoted to her family and friends, and was very active in her community.
Deceased husband: the late Roland Tardiff, deceased May 16, 2004. They married July 24, 1943.
Surviving Daughters: Susan Lancaster (Tim) and Nancy Lessem (Louis)
Deceased Daughters: the late Elaine Tardiff, deceased September 4, 2005, and the late Sandy Tardiff, deceased May 30, 2007
Grandchildren: Sarah and Jacob (Aya) Lessem, Luke and Mark Howland, Danielle Marek, Nicole Gregory, Kimberly Glazier, Tim Lancaster, Jr., MD (Jean), and Elizabeth Lancaster
Great-grandchildren: ten

Funeral Mass: Saturday, February 6, 2010 - 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Inglewood, Rochester, Michigan, with Reverend Thomas Slowinski officiating. Visitation at church begins Saturday at 10:00 AM.
