Larry was a resident of Bloomfield Hills for 23 years, formerly of Troy.

He attended St. Ladislaus grade school and received his Bachelor�s degree in 1973 and his Master�s degree in 1976 from Wayne State University. After high school and during college he worked for General Motors for 10 years and then Auto Web (now Autobytel).

He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving aboard the USS Higby as a gunner and working with electrons.

Larry was a advertising sales person and worked for Burroughs, McCann Erickson, Doyle DanBurnach, Volkswagen, Audi and Conde Nast Publications.

A very social and likeable guy, Larry was an avid reader and enjoyed science fiction TV and movies. He was a Detroit Tigers and Red Wing fan and also loved his Friday �date� nights with his wife, Charlene. He enjoyed power boating on Lake St. Clair and vacations to Marco Island and Punto Cana in the Dominican Republic.

Larry was a real fighter, recovering from a stroke and three years with cancer.
Beloved husband of Charlene for 35 years. Loving father of Christopher and Matt (Kristin). Son of Jean Wallace and the late Lawrence. Brother to Raymond, Denise Poikey (Lenny) and Paul. Brother-in-law to Gary Romska, uncle to Suzanne Leenders (Rubin) and Kent Romska.
Funeral service Sunday 11am at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak.
Family will receive friends Friday 4-8p.m. and Saturday 2-8p.m.
