ALLEN WING CHIN, suddenly October 11, 2005, age 65.
Mr. Chin was the co-owner of Chung's Restaurant in Waterford, Michigan, with his cousin, Philip Chung. Chung's was an anchor in Detroit's former Chinatown on Cass Avenue for many years, before moving to Waterford.
Mr. Chin was the third generation in his family to work in the restaurant, which was started by his grandfather, Joseph Chin, and his sister, who married into the Chung family. The first Chung's was located near Tiger Stadium before it opened in Chinatown in the 1960's.
Beloved husband of Shui Kuen “Lancy” for 40 years.
Dear father of Craig, Christopher (Nadine), Curtis (Jeff), Calvin (Angie), Cynthia and Clifford.
Brother of Wing, Eugene, Nancy, John and the late Shirley.
Family will receive friends at A. J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road (between Maple and Big Beaver) Sunday, October 16, 2005, from 1:00 PM until Service at 4:00 PM.
Burial will take place in Northern California at a later date.
